Original tasting and review : This is 689 (Six Eight Nine) Zinfandel Blend, California, 2010. It is a proprietary blend of zinfandel, syrah, cabernet, merlot & petite syrah, from select Napa Valley vineyard sites.

In the glass: Medium deep red blend, opaque in the center.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows soft, generic red (almost merlot-style) fruit.    From the aroma, seems like this will be easy but quite generic.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact soft and easy as projected, bringing soft red/black fruit with light furry tannins to an easy, soft finish. Clean and unremarkable as it wraps up.

In summary: Overall, rates three  stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
