Original tasting and review : This is Bianchi Petite Sirah, Paso Robles, California,, 2009, finished at 14.5% alcohol.
In the glass: Deep burgundy purple, opaque in the center.
On the nose: Poured with a brief decant and swirled vigorously, shows fruity purple beef blood. From the aroma, seems like this will be aromatic, bitingly bold, bright and long-lasting.
On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact deeply layered and aromatic, with robes of deep, sweet, blood red layers flowing on your palate, capped by a sandy and lengthy finish. Fresh and young, but deep and satisfying.
In summary: Overall, rates four stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale. Best value.
