Check out today's pricing and retail availability for Sebastiani Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley.
Original tasting and review : This is Sebastiani Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma, California, 2008, finished at 14.6% alcohol.
In the glass: Deep red, almost burgundy.
On the nose: Poured with a brief decant and swirled vigorously, shows soft woodland zinfandel fruit, sweet, langorous, perhaps a little sleepy. From the aroma, seems like this will be full, but with little freshness.
On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact much as anticipated. Sweet blackberry fruit, with lightly oxidized, sweet overtones.
In summary: Overall, rates three on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
